Who is Mark Phipps?
Mark Edward Phipps Jr. is running to represent the people of West Virginia’s 47th District in the House of Delegated. He was raised in Rupert. Mark graduated from Greenbrier West High School in 2021. After graduation, he served four years in the United States Army.
Mark’s decision to run for office comes from a deep love for his home state and concern for its future. He’s watched too many young people leave West Virginia because there’s no opportunity, he refuses to accept that as a normalcy. His campaign is built on being a voice for the working class who have been left behind by the same old politicians who make promises election after election and never follow through with any of them.
Mark believes the biggest challenges facing the district is the drug epidemic, economic underdevelopment, and widespread poverty. He’s committed to finding meaningful solutions that create good jobs, strengthen communities, and give people a reason to stay here at home.
